4th generation

Elias Hannibal Andy Oliver
Olivia Annabell Barollo

Tzaren's Elias
Elias was born in 1992. His mother is (Cosack's) Nathalie, Leila's Swedish import, and his father is Tzaren's Celesting.
He was an outstanding Russian Blue with a beautiful body, an excellent coat and most of all a gorgeous head. See his broad head and the width between his eyes! Though you can't see it on this photo he also had a perfect profile with an extremely good angle. His only minor fault was his ears were set too low.
Elias was a good show-cat who was very calm at the shows, and his show results were very good. He attained the title Grand International Champion, and he was often BIV and nominated. Strange to say he was never BIS. We think he had deserved it.
Elias sired 4 litters. Two bred by Leila, two by other breeders.

Tzaren's Hannibal
Hannibal who was born in 1993 was the only one of Babette's two kittens who got kittens himself. His father was Captain Cut
Hannibal was almost an extreme Russian Blue. His head is extremely broad, his wedge is extremely short, and his eyes are extremely green. We like him very, very much.
Together with Ginger he was sold to Laila and Freddy Rathcke,  and also later he came the same way as Ginger.
When he was living in the Rathcke family he was shown some times, but he didn't like it, and he knew a lot of swearwords. Nevertheless he was the favourite of at least one judge. He got the Champion title, and then his show career finished which we are sure he was very pleased about.
Hannibal sired one litter before he was neutered.

Tzaren's Krasnapolski
The third Tzaren-cat from this generation we should like to mention is Tzaren's Krasnapolski - or Andy as he is also called.
Krasnapolski is born in 1994. His mother is (Cosack's) Nathalie, and his father is Captain Cut. Kirsten saw this litter of 2 males and 1 female before the kittens moved to their new homes. She liked the little Krasnapolski very much, but even better the female, Klarissa. If we at that time had wanted another cat Klarissa would probably have moved to our house. The litter was shown in the litter class and was the best litter.
Krasnapolski moved in with Ole Nielsen and Rie Sauer who had already the females Sissa and Janis, and at this time his name was changed to Andy.

Andy is a long cat with long legs, but very well-proportioned. He has a beautiful Scandinavian Russian Blue Look. He developed slowly and was for a long time rather loutish, and in the beginning his results at the shows were not that impressive. Later on his results were much better, and Andy has got the title European Champion, the highest title a cat can get in FIFe. He has also got the best result a Danish Russian Blue has ever got when he at a show was Best of Best no 2. He also was no 9 the top 10 list of cats in Ole's and Rie's club in 1997 and could have been in 1996 if his results had been submitted.
Andy has sired quite a few litters, both bred by Ole & Rie and by other Danish breeders, but also bred by Finnish breeders.

In October 1994 Birthe Sorensen's Regnbuen's Minnie gave birth to a 2 males and 1 female. The father was Tzaren's Hannibal, and the kittens were descendants of Bitsjka on both sides. Apparently this was a very good mating, it is one of the most beautiful Russian Blue litters we have ever seen - only when it was about the number of kittens it couldn't match Tassi's and Djingiz' litter from 1991. Both as kitten as as adult cats these three Russian Blues possessed a classic beauty with the correct proportions and lines of both the body and the head. One of the males, Mickey, was sold to Michael and Jette Strandberg. They would like to show him, and at the very first show he was BIS kitten. And he deserved it! Unfortunately Mickey didn't approve the project. He turned out to be one of the Russian Blues who does not at all like shows, and they were soon given up. It was a pity, we are sure he would have had some very good results, but he preferred the life as a much loved cat at home.

Oliver af Den Blaa Mus
Oliver was going to stay with Birthe and her family, and he was supposed to be the cat of the daughter in the house, but also Oliver made his own decisions, and he chose Birthe as his favourite person.
Contrary to his brother Oliver thought shows were ok. Anyway Birthe didn't take so much interest in showing her cats, and also the show career of Oliver was rather short. He was shown five times, four of those when he was adult. At every show he won the certificate, and he got the Champion title. He also was BIV twice.
Oliver sired one litter before he was neutered.

Olivia af Den Blaa Mus
The female in the litter, Olivia, was sold to Marie Louise Saether. After a while Marie Louise got a second Russian Blue when she bought Silverskimrets Legolas in Sweden.
Olivia and Legolas became the parents of a litter with Marie Louise's breeder name Legoliv composed of the names of the two parents. Unfortunately none of these kittens have got purebred kittens themselves.
Neither Marie Louise took much interest in shows, and she hadn't the heart to show her cats. Olivia was shown only a few times, and only once as adult where she got the certificate.  We often visited Olivia (and Marie Louise and Legolas) in the home of Marie Louise, and we liked her very much, both her looks and her temperament whish is what we call the classical Russian Blue temperament.

Rathcke's Babka Annabell
Annabell was born in 1995 in the first litter of Ginger. Her father was Na Gedi Bluelight Blitz - it was the only litter Blitz sired.
Annabell stayed with Laila Rathcke, but when Laila got very bad allergic reactions to cats she had to find a new home for Annabell. Annabell moved to Lene Bondesen who had already Legoliv's Cadeau - Calle for short - from Olivia's litter.
What most of all characterizes Annabell is a very beautiful type of the body, long legs and a very good coat with lots of silver sheen. Her eyes are a little too pale and yellow, but apart from this she is a very nice Russian Blue.
Lene took her to shows occasionally, and Annabell got the Champion title.

Barollo Ashoterkat af Den Blaa Mus

Barollo Ashoterkat af Den Blaa Mus
Barollo belongs even more to the family than most of the other related cats because he is owned by Kirsten's cousin Birgitte, and he lives with her family including the Abyssinian Barone.
Barollo's mother is Minnie, and his father is Silverskimrets Legolas. He was born in Minnie's last litter in 1996. A litter brother and a litter sister stayed with Birthe, and this time the male, Fridolf Artashes, accepted the daughter of the house as his favourite person. The female that didn't leave home is called Frieda Arcajadustr. Both Fridolf and Frieda were at a few shows, Frieda with great success when she was BIS 6-10 month junior.
Barollo is a very nice, but not very big Russian Blue. Usually he is called Lillemis which means something like "Little puss". We are sure he is very content being "only" a family cat. He was neutered before any problems occurred, and he has never been to a show.
Barollo has the classical Russian Blue temperament, and of course he is not at all as forthcoming as the other cat Barone. Anyway we are always allowed to greet him when we are visiting the family.
